Fear Will Not Win

Day 6 of 10

Today’s Scripture • Psalm 23:1–4

“The Lord is my shepherd… Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”

Psalm 23:1–4 (NIV)

Devotional Reflection

You have now reached the second stage of this journey. During the first five days, you discovered that God’s love is secure, His presence is constant, His refuge is always open, and that every fear can be brought to Him in prayer. Today, you begin learning what it means to trust Him as your Shepherd.

A shepherd does far more than lead sheep from one place to another. He watches over them, protects them, guides them and never abandons them when the path becomes difficult. That is the picture David gives us of God’s care. The Lord does not promise that we will never walk through dark valleys, but He does promise that we will never walk through them alone.

Fear often focuses our attention on the valley. Faith gently lifts our eyes to the Shepherd. His presence is greater than the darkness, His wisdom is greater than our uncertainty, and His love remains constant through every season.

Today, keep your eyes on the Shepherd. He knows the path ahead, He walks beside you, and He will faithfully lead you one step at a time.

Today’s Truth

My Shepherd faithfully leads me through every season of life.

Today’s Anchor

The Shepherd walks beside me through every valley I face.

Prayer

Father, thank You for being my faithful Shepherd. Jesus, lead me safely wherever this day takes me. Holy Spirit, help me trust Your guidance with confidence and peace. Amen.
