Fear Will Not Win
Day 7 of 10
Today’s Scripture • Matthew 11:28–30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28–30 (NIV)
Devotional Reflection
As this journey continues, you are beginning to discover that trusting God is not about trying harder—it is about drawing nearer. Yesterday, we met the Good Shepherd who faithfully leads His people. Today, that same Shepherd lovingly invites us to come and rest.
Jesus understands that life can leave us weary. There are burdens that others can see, and there are hidden burdens carried quietly within the heart. Worry, disappointment, uncertainty and fear can slowly drain our strength until even simple days begin to feel heavy.
Instead of asking us to carry more, Jesus offers something different. He says, “Come to me.” His invitation is not reserved for those who have everything together. It is for those who are tired, overwhelmed and ready to place their burdens into His hands.
True rest is more than physical sleep. It is the deep assurance that your life is held securely by Christ. As you learn to trust Him, you no longer carry every weight alone. His peace begins to replace your striving, and His grace becomes sufficient for each new day.
