Fear Will Not Win

Day 5 of 10

Today’s Scripture • Philippians 4:6–7

“Do not be anxious about anything… and the peace of God… will guard your hearts and your minds.”

Philippians 4:6–7 (NIV)

Devotional Reflection

During these first five days, you have discovered that nothing can separate you from God’s love, that He is always with you, that He is your refuge, and that you can trust Him even when fear appears. Today, God gently invites you to do something practical with every anxious thought—bring it to Him in prayer.

Paul does not tell us to ignore anxiety or pretend it isn’t there. Instead, he encourages us to take every concern, every worry and every burden into the presence of God. Prayer is not our last resort; it is our first response. As we place our fears into God’s hands, He replaces the weight we have been carrying with His peace.

This peace is unlike anything the world can offer. It does not depend upon perfect circumstances or easy days. It comes from the presence of Christ and quietly stands guard over our hearts and minds.

As you finish the first part of this journey, remember that you never have to carry tomorrow’s burdens alone. Every fear can become a conversation with your heavenly Father.
