Fear Will Not Win

Over the past few days, God has been gently renewing your mind through His truth. As your thinking changes, something else begins to happen within your heart. Fear slowly loses its grip because you are learning to live in the confidence of God’s perfect love.

John writes that perfect love drives out fear. He is not saying that we will never experience moments of uncertainty or concern. Rather, he reminds us that fear no longer has the authority to rule the life of someone who knows they are deeply loved by God.

When we truly understand the Father’s love, we stop measuring our security by changing circumstances. We begin measuring it by God’s unchanging character. His love remains constant on difficult days and joyful days alike. It never weakens, never abandons and never gives up on those He calls His own.

Today, let God’s love become greater than your fears. Do not give fear the final word over your life. Instead, allow the certainty of Christ’s love to quiet your anxious heart and strengthen your confidence for whatever lies ahead.
