Anchored in Joshua 1:9, Reverend Ben Cooper prays for strength, courage and the peace of the Holy Spirit over anxiety, panic, stress, burnout and worried thoughts.

The prayer also speaks hope over crushed dreams, identity and vision, before finishing with communion at home and a prayer for peaceful sleep and courage for the week ahead.

Welcome to Sunday Night Prayer

0:03 Good evening and God bless you wherever you are across the world tonight. Thank you for joining us. May the Spirit of the Lord be with you.

Joshua 1:9 — Strength and Courage

0:39 We stand on Joshua 1:9. God tells us to be strong and courageous because the Lord is with us wherever we go. We pray for panic, fear, doubt and worry to go, and for the love and grace of Jesus Christ to rest over every heart, mind, body and soul.

Prayer Against Anxiety and Fear

6:57 Philippians 4 tells us not to be anxious about anything, but through prayer and petition with thanksgiving to present our requests to God. We pray for mental health, stress, fear and anxious thoughts.

Refuge and Strength in Trouble

11:02 Psalm 46 reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. We pray for breakthrough, restored identity and peace for anyone feeling scared or uncertain.

Keeping Eyes on Jesus in Trials

15:42 Isaiah 41:10, Psalm 23 and Hebrews 12 remind us not to fear, to trust the Shepherd through the valley and to keep our eyes on Jesus.

Vision Restored and Destiny Reclaimed

20:38 We pray for dreams and visions crushed by life, society or religion. Jeremiah 29:11 and Romans 8:28 speak hope, purpose and a future.

Communion at Home, Not Religion

28:33 We break bread together at home, remembering the body of Christ and the new covenant in his blood.

Rest for Tonight, Courage for Tomorrow

32:06 We pray for peaceful sleep tonight, courage for Monday morning, strength for work, school and home, and renewed confidence in the vision God has placed within us.
