Loneliness
You can feel alone even in a crowd. Find connection, hope and reminders that you are seen, valued and worthy of support.
You are seen
Loneliness is painful, but it does not define your worth
Loneliness can happen after change, loss, conflict, illness, moving home or feeling misunderstood. It can affect confidence, sleep, motivation and the courage to reach out.
Make one connection
Send one short message, attend one familiar place or tell someone that you would value company.
Create gentle routine
Plan one regular activity that brings contact, structure or a reason to leave the house.
Ask for support
Speak with a GP, counsellor, church leader or support organisation when isolation becomes persistent.
What loneliness may feel like
Emotionally
Sadness, rejection, emptiness, feeling forgotten or believing nobody truly understands.
In thoughts
Assuming others do not want you, comparing yourself or losing confidence about reaching out.
In daily life
Withdrawing, spending long periods alone, disrupted sleep or losing interest in activities.
