Fear Will Not Win

Day 15 of 30

Today’s Scripture • 2 Corinthians 10:5

“…we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)

Devotional Reflection

Today brings us to the completion of the third stage of this journey. Over the past five days, God has been gently renewing your mind. You have learned to focus on His truth, to rest in His perfect love and to allow His peace to guard your heart. Today, you discover that you also have a choice about which thoughts you allow to remain.

Not every thought that enters your mind deserves your attention. Some thoughts bring hope, wisdom and encouragement. Others quietly produce fear, doubt and discouragement. Paul teaches us that we are not powerless. We can take those fearful thoughts captive and bring them before Christ, allowing His truth to replace every lie.

This is not about pretending difficult thoughts never appear. It is about refusing to give them control over your life. As God’s Word fills your heart, you become more confident in recognising the difference between fear’s voice and the Shepherd’s voice.

As you prepare to enter the next stage of this devotional journey, pause and thank God for the work He has already begun within you. Your thinking is changing, your faith is growing and your confidence is becoming firmly rooted in Christ.
