Candle Night Prayers · Week 2
Feeling Weary? Come to Jesus and Find Rest.
You can feel tired and still look fine on the outside—but your mind often tells the truth at night. If you are carrying burnout, fear, doubt or the quiet hum of anxiety, this evening prayer is a peaceful place to breathe, come to Jesus and begin again.

Evening Prayer for Rest When You Feel Weary and Burned Out
In this evening prayer with Reverend Ben Cooper, we hold tightly to the invitation of Jesus in Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all of you that are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Together, we pray for spiritual and physical rest, calm thoughts and healing that reaches the places affected by stress, sleeplessness and emotional exhaustion.
This prayer speaks honestly about the private struggles people often hide behind a smile—burnout, anxious thoughts, panic attacks, health anxiety, financial pressure, workplace stress and fear about the future. As a new week begins, we bring our commutes, workplaces, schools, medical appointments, relationships and daily responsibilities before God. We ask Him to quiet the battlefield of the mind, help us focus on today and give us the strength to face tomorrow.
We also pray for the United Kingdom, for leaders to act with wisdom and truth, and for peace in nations affected by conflict and uncertainty.

A Simple Communion Moment at Home
During this prayer, Reverend Ben invites listeners to prepare a small piece of bread and a cup of juice for Communion. This is not presented as a religious performance. It is a simple and personal opportunity to remember the body of Christ, the cross, redemption and the unconditional love of God.
You can participate from your sofa, beside your bed or wherever you are listening. Come as you are and remember that nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
